The new Chapter
So as most of you already know I got a new job with University Of Phoenix... Yes that is where Lars works too. We will be right across the side walk from each other. I am pretty exc ited about being able to car pool with him everyday and have lunch everyday. We will be seeing each other a lot more then wer are now so its going to be good. The thing I am most excited about it that I will not have to resort to going back to Wal-Mart ever again. This job comes with a HUGE increase in pay for me and free schooling also so no more student loans for me! Also we both have weekends and holidays off which also means more weekend trips to Disneyland! I am just so grateful that this opportunity has presented itself to me because for a long time I have not been in a good place with feeling like I have to work, but hating my job. I have done that on and off four four years and I am just so sick of it. Now I can at least feel like my days work means something and I can leave work feeling good instead of leaving angry and bringing it all home with me. I will let you all know how it goes, but I have a feeling that everything from here on out will be great!

Update!
Ok I am officially the worst blogger on the planet these days. I feel like I have so much going on that I never have time to get on here an blog about my life anymore. Here is a small update of what we have been up to for the past two months. I went up to Utah for a quick visit. While I was there I watched my brother graduate from high school. I got to spend some time with my grandma and one of my aunts. We spent as much time as we could with my dad who left for Alaska with my brother Carson till September for the fishing season. I brought my brothers cute girlfriend Emily back with me who is now Teagan's part time babysitter. She will be living with us for the summer( possibly longer) I am still working a Wal-Mart and have picked up a lot more hours lately as everyone I work with has gone on vacation. We are planning a trip to Disneyland this coming weekend and we are so excited because we have not been since January when we wen with the Kinyon's and their adorable little girl. We get to go with Lars' sister and her husband and I am so excited to see them because this is the first time we will see them since his siter found out she is pregnant with twins after trying to have kids forever! So exciting! We haven;t really done a whole lot more to our house or yard.( it is too hot to work in the yard after the sun comes up) I promise lots of pictures from Disneyland and I hope everyone has a nice 4Th of July weekend.

I know I know I suck!
So I get that I haven't blogged in a while and I am sorry to the three people who read this. So just to get everyone up to speed here is a snap shot of our life the past month or so. I got a job at Macy's ( the department store) I worked there for one week and ended up getting offered a supervisor job at you guessed it Wal-Mart. I told myself I was never going to work there again, but hey when your offered a job without really having to do anything you take it. So that is what I did. I am still in the process of looking for a job that I can do with my degree. Which is also new by the way! I finally finished my associates degree and two weeks later was enrolled in the Bachlors program so I didn't really get a long break with school, but thats ok with me I would rather just get it over with anyway.
So the second week in April my mom and my sister came down and stayed for two weeks. They mostly came to help us out with watching Teagan and letting me borrow her car, but I think it was fun for them to have a little get away from all the cold weather in Utah. My dad came down a couple of days before they left to basically take them home so they could leave a car for me to use while my dad is in Alaska. It's really nice of them to let us use it since we can not afford another car right now. Teagan ended up going back with them to Utah and spending Easter with my exteneded family in St.George at my grandma's new house. Lars' parents came down for his graduation the weekend following Easter so they were albe to bring her home for us.
Lars graduated from University Of Phoenix ( the school he works for) With his BA in IT. I am so proud of him! It took him a little bit longer to finish his program because he had a lot of credits that were basically worthless. I know he is glad to be done with it for now. He is going to take the summer off and then start with his Master's program.

Update! on project
I know I have been horrible at blogging. We had a problem with our computer a couple of weeks age but now it is back up and running normally. Here are a few projects I have been working on. First off a HUGE!!! Thank you to my good friend Amy for sending me a HUGE!!! box full of goodies for my house. She is such a sweet person an always thinking of how she can help others. She also happens to have fabulous taste in decor and she sent me the cutest stuff!

This is a project that will be coming soon! It is not finished however.

This is one of the things that Amy sent! I thought it would look cute in Teagan's room.

I am going to paint this shelf an aqua color and put it over the little tree.

Upstairs in our house we have this little nook that I have no idea what to do with so I have just made it Teagan's coloring area. I put this cute Vinyl chalk think up and let her color on it. She LOVES IT! I need to go get her some colored chalk for her to use on it...maybe the Easter bunny can bring that ;)

I put this cute Calender right by my computer. I always need a calender when I am on the computer and it works out nicely to have one that I can change all the time.

This is a cute little plaque that I out in my front room on my little side table. That room desperately needs decorations!

She also sent me this cute flower vinyl that I didn't really know where to put then she gave me this great idea to make some art with it on canvas. So After a few attempts at getting it the way I wanted it this is what it looks like.

I changed out my thing that hangs on my door and fixed it a little so it didn't hang sideways and bang on the door so much.

We are going to be painting our garage door this color! The color it is now is not far off but it just looks dusty and faded. So that should be happening with in a week or two.

We planted some flowers in the front yard by our door! Which brings some good color to the house. However they are sort of dying no matter how much I water them it just gets to hot right there so we will probably be planting something else there.

We also put in some sod in the front just to make it look not so deserty ( I think that's a word)

We planted some palm trees which we got for a STEAL!!! They are normally around $79 for a big queen palm and we got them for $23 Thank you Costco!

And last but not least we put in our garden. It contains mostly the contents to make the most amazing salsa ( made by my amazing husband) and one lone strawberry plant that we could ot leave the store without! Teagan had to have " the bebe strawberries"
A couple other side note.
Teagan is now potty trained during the day. She still has to wear a diaper when she sleeps, But progress is progress.
I also will be starting my job tomorrow. I will be working part time at Macey's ( the dept store) I am excited to start something new and thankful to not have to be working at Wal-Mart again.

Las Vegas with my girls!

A few months ago I was sitting at home feeling sorry for myself because I don't have friends here in AZ like I do at home in Utah! So I got this idea that I wanted to spend some girl time with my friends just hanging out, but I live so far and lets face it Utah is just too cold this time of year so I thought. Lets meet in Vegas. I told all the girls about it and they were in! ( unfortunately not all of them could come, but what can you do when your and adult and you have responsibilities) So we planned a trip to Vegas! We stayed at the Monte Carlo which was super nice, minus that our toilet broke and our first room stunk ( In my opinion though I think that guy that came to fix it broke it when he tried to "fix" it) and minus the fact that Dani and had some unknown stain out our sheet which was fixed right away! My cute friend Dani came down and stayed at my house for two days, which was very fun just to hang out and do nothing. We went to the outlet malls which is ALWAYS! fun. On Friday morning we got up early to get to Vegas and we had some minor situations that made us get there just in time to check in. Crystal and Amy met us there, which was so fun because I had seen my friend crystal since summer of last year and the last time I saw Amy was like three years ago.
Our first night there we went out onto the strip and just sort of walked around. We ate dinner and then we walked back to our hotel room and just sort of hang out.

All of us at M&M factory!

We were determined to get all four of our heads in a picture while laying down. Neddless to say we didn't get a decent one because all of us were laughing WAY! to hard!
Those times are the best cause you get to talk about stuff and laugh, and boy did we laugh!
The next day we had tickets to see Phantom of the opera, but first we went to the outlet malls and did some shopping. A trip to Vegas is not the same without the outlets. We went back to our hotel and grabbed some lunch. Then we went back to our room and got ready for Phantom. We got to the show just in time and it was AMAZING! IF you have never seen it I highly recommend it!

These are all of the cool people from differnt times around the theater at Phantom. Amy sneakly took these cause you were no allowed to take pictures at all!
After the show we went back and changed and then went over to New York New York so Dani and Crystal could ride the roller coaster! Mean while Amy and I played Dance Competition( I think that was the name) and needless to say we both sucked! ( although Amy beat me every time) So we just acted like idiots and these employee's were staring at us the entire time. The next day was the day we had to leave :( We got all packed up and went to our last meal together and then had to head our separate ways. I got to go visit my sister-in -law and her husband for a good part of the afternoon. They took me to lunch at The Cheesecake factory which was delicious. Thanks girls for the fun weekend! This will DEFINITELY be a annual tradition.

some new stuff
My Aunts and my grandma came down for a few days from Utah to see our house, get some some and help me out with some much needed projects. So here are a few of the things we did.

This is Teagan's room. We found this headboard at DI for $3.00 and all we did was spray paint it white. It turned out so cute!!! We also painted her wall a very cute purple color!

I found that little side table at Ross for $36.00 and it goes perfectly with everything else in her room.

I already had this book shelf in her room I just moved it to a different wall.

I had a really cute shelf that I previously had painted this cute blue color, but it didn't really go with anything down stairs so we decided to put it in Teagan's bathroom to match her shower curtain and it worked out nice because she doesn't have any drawers in her bathroom for her hair stuff so I put it on the shelf.

We also hung this hook board and took down her towel rack so she could get her towel herself.

Some stuff we hung up turned out so cute!

Our nook that goes out to our back porch. We painted it this blue that I love! and got some new curtains!

Some new table decor..we I already had the sign.

painted part of the back splash in the kitchen the same blue. I also got those cute bird towels at Ross!

Some cute little red tables that I also got from Ross!

My Valentine flowers from Lars

And last but not least my cute little Teagan this morning in her PJ's watching a movie and eating her breakfast! you gotta love the crazy hair.
